Privacy Policy
Overview
Platzwahl does not collect any personal data, does not send information to external servers, and uses no tracking or analytics. All data entered in the app is stored exclusively on your device and never leaves it.
What data is processed?
When using the app you can enter and save the following information:
Room configurations (room name, desk layout, teacher's desk position), class and group information (class name, student names, individual rules such as disruptive tendency or seating preferences), and seating plans generated from these.
This data is stored exclusively on your device within the app container. It is not transmitted to us or any third party, not backed up to any cloud, and not shared with other apps.
Personal data of students
If you enter student names, you as the teacher are processing personal data of natural persons. Since this data remains exclusively on your device and crabucate has no access to it at any time, you are the data controller within the meaning of the GDPR for the processing of this data.
Please ensure that you have an appropriate legal basis for entering and storing student names on your device — typically this arises from your professional duties and the regulations of your school or educational authority.
We recommend entering students by first name or an internal abbreviation where full names are not strictly necessary.
In-app purchases
Platzwahl may offer optional in-app purchases. All payments are processed exclusively through Apple and the App Store. crabucate has no access to your payment data. Apple's Privacy Policy applies.
Third parties
The app does not include any third-party SDKs, advertising networks, or analytics services. No tracking takes place.
Children
Platzwahl is designed as a tool for teachers — adult users. The app itself is not intended for direct use by children. Student names, if entered, are not transmitted or processed by the app — they remain exclusively on the teacher's device.
Device storage and backups
The locally stored app data may, depending on device settings, be included in an iCloud or iTunes/Finder backup. That backup is then processed by Apple in accordance with their privacy policy. You can exclude app data from backups by going to iOS Settings → iCloud → Apps and disabling the toggle for Platzwahl.
Your rights
Since crabucate does not collect or store any user data, we cannot provide information about stored data or perform deletions — this data exists exclusively on your device. All app data can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app.
Changes
If something fundamental changes that affects this policy, we will update it. The date above indicates when the policy was last changed.
